TOKYO — Japan's economy grew at an annualized 0.5% in real terms during the April-June period for the 10th consecutive quarterly expansion, the government said Monday.
The growth corresponds to a quarterly 0.1% rise from the January-March period in gross domestic product, the Cabinet Office said in a preliminary report. The growth rate figures were lower than the average market forecast of an annualized 1% expansion or a 0.3% quarterly increase.
